Pasta and Scampi

Travel to the coast of Italy with our Pasta and Scampi, featuring succulent shrimp, shallots, and a fragrant garlic butter sauce.

INGREDIENTS:
8 oz | San Giorgio® Rotini |
1/2 cup | butter |
1 Tbsp | olive oil |
1 lb | large fresh shrimp, peeled, deveined |
2 Tbsps | shallot, minced |
1 | garlic clove, minced |
2 Tbsps | lemon juice |
1/2 tsp | hot pepper sauce |
1/4 tsp | grated lemon peel |
1 Tbsp | parsley, chopped |
salt and ground black pepper, to taste |
DIRECTIONS:
- Prepare pasta according to package directions; drain.
- Meanwhile, in large skillet, melt butter with oil. Add shrimp, shallots and garlic; cook 2 minutes.
- Add lemon juice, pepper sauce and lemon peel; continue cooking until shrimp are pink, about 3 minutes.
- Stir in hot pasta and parsley. Salt and pepper to taste.
